Bismarck State College holds its sixth annual President's Run on Friday, July 12, to raise scholarship money for the Dean D. Gunsch Toolbox Program. A $100 donation per vehicle is requested. Motorcycle and car enthusiasts are welcome to join BSC President Larry C. Skogen at 9:15 a.m. for the trip to Garrison Dam. Participants leave from the BSC Jack Science Center parking lot.

Dean Gunsch was a longtime Automotive Technology instructor and Transportation & Construction Department chair. The Toolbox Program helps decrease initial startup costs by providing toolboxes for Automotive Technology students to use while attending BSC. During his 34 years at the college, this program was one of many projects initiated and championed by Gunsch, who passed away August 27, 2012, at age 58 from cancer.

The event includes a tour of Garrison Dam and lunch provided courtesy of BlackRidge BANK and Cloverdale Foods. Participants contributing $200 or more will be eligible for a package giveaway worth $500 donated by McQuade Distributing Co. and Cloverdale Foods. All proceeds will benefit the Dean D. Gunsch Toolbox Program.
