Bismarck State College Music program features each of its performing ensembles in the fourth annual BSC Holiday Concert Tuesday, Dec. 17.
This tribute to the Christmas season mixes traditional and sacred music with familiar carols and contemporary songs presented under the direction of several music faculty.
Individual and combined groupings of nine ensembles will rotate on the Sidney J. Lee Auditorium stage for the 7:30 p.m. concert. Performing are the Concert Choir, Wind Ensemble, Women's and Men's vocal ensembles, Chamber Singers, Percussion and Brass ensembles, Woodwind and Recorder ensembles, and a jazz combo.
Among the program selections are "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly" arranged by Paul Christiansen, and "Ring Christmas Bells" arranged by BSC music instructor Rob Peske. The Woodwind Ensemble performs the popular "I'll Be Home for Christmas," while the Chamber Singers and the jazz combo deliver "A Swingin' Christmas."
The concert ends with a finale of "Do You Hear What I Hear" by the Wind Ensemble and the Concert Choir. Directing the ensembles are John Darling, Andrew Miller, Dawn Hagerott, Jeanette Rehberg, Brianne Fuzesy and Rob Peske.
Audience members will be treated to refreshments after the concert, which is presented at no charge.
